Meet Our CEO & Founder
Payshia Edwards-Smith, MPH, Doula, CLES
Payshia is a birth and reproductive justice advocate, public health professional, Certified Lactation Education Specialist, Doula, poet, and avid thrifter. She brings with her over a decade of experience as a Doula and deeply invested knowledge of the healthcare system and public health practices.
After completing her Master of Public Health program,
she went on to become a Doula and Certified Lactation Education Specialist (CLES).
Following this path because she felt a calling to the work, Payshia views herself as a catalyst to improving adverse perinatal and reproductive health outcomes in underserved communities.
Spirit-led, FlourisHER was birthed with intention and community in mind. Through our direct care and community support, we aim to disrupt and replace existing systems, with systems of care that reflect the vibrancy and beauty of the communities we serve.
