Payshia Edwards-Smith, MPH, Doula, CLES

I am a birth and reproductive justice advocate, public health professional, Certified Lactation Education Specialist, Doula, poet, and avid thrifter. I bring with me five years of experience as a Doula, and over ten years of experience and deeply invested knowledge of the healthcare system and public health practices. 

After completing my Master of Public Health program, 

I went on to become a Doula and Certified Lactation Education Specialist (CLES). 

I decided to follow this path because I felt a calling to the work and wanted to be a direct catalyst to improve adverse maternal and infant health and reproductive health outcomes in the Black community.
